A big thank you to col4bin who was kind enough to sell me this beautiful lens.
It was delivered today just as advertised and I could not be happier. It took me about 2 min to get used to the push-pull, actually I like it better! I went in search of a duck and to test it out. First shot is the duck and the second picture was taken at 400mm 5.6.

how long does it take to get use to the push/pull way of focusing? How many other lenses use this method?

Where do you people find these meerkats? I live in San Francisco Bay area and I've never seen one anywhere! Critters seem real photogenic. :D

Thank you all very much. It really didnt take long at all to get used to the push/pull. I could tell in the first couple of shots that i would love to zoom this way. After a short time I
figured out where I needed to set the tension. It was so easy and i really do prefer it now.
Meerkats are to found at the zoo :)
