Mill Gill is quite a high fall by UK standards and when I found it I was quite pleasantly suprised. Not sure how high it is but it was pretty impressive with more of that peaty water rushing down. Downside is the narrow viewing area which is VERY slippery (trust my bruised bottom on this), meaning my angles are similar on most shots. These two were pick of the bunch.

Two more stricking images.
I really like that little stream of water on the left, it adds another dimension to the shot.
I can almost hear it splashing down over the roar of the main falls.
The smell down there must be peaty, damp and mossy.

Good images but I have some comments: both seem a tad too cluttered compared to some of your previous images.

I would also lose the branch in the first photo from the upper right corner.

My favourite is the first one. I think the portrait mode works better in this shot.

Very much so, all the rocks are damp and slippery with algae and moss!

Thanks.

Lovely shots again Neil, and that brown-coloured water sure helps eliminate problems with waterfall blowouts! ;)

The second one does it for me, Neil. Excellent image. Was it windy? I sense some movement in those things hanging on the rock to the left.

Thanks one and all. There was a slight breeze but I think the movement was caused by water coming down the side.

The images are a little clutters as the spot is very cluttered, no room to wander. :)

I like coloured water, I get a tanker of milky tea dumped upstream when I do a shoot :)
