Watching Swedish PopIdol now & they're having 'Unplugged' as the theme. So far they sound a lot better than normal.

Have you ever harboured any popstar dreams? Do you like to sing, stand on stage & what type of music? Or are you already involved in a band or sing solo? Or do you just sing in the shower? Or do you let loose during karaoke?

I used to want to be Julie Andrews as a kid.. but, nope.. never wanted to be a pop star stand on stage or any of that.. I did sing all the way through school though and was, regularly stuck on some stage in a costume or choir robes.. loved the music.. still do.. hated the stage..

I used to share an office with 2 others, singing was my way of getting some space to myself.
Now, I have an office with room for 3, all to myself. :)

So long and thanks for all the flash

Yes, I too wanted to be Julie Andrews as a kid,. but I have outgrown that, and now would much prefer to be Barbara Streisand. I'm sure this is sign of maturity

In my youth I was in 2 different bands. Played gigs all over. Never harbored any illusions of stardomn though, just liked all the fringe benfits.

I can't really sing, but I think I would really enjoy letting lose on stage at some point, even if it''s just mimicking. I mean, I'm usually not the stage type, so it'd take time to dare letting go, but I'd love to jump on stage and pretend to be someone else for a song or two.

Actually, that's what I feel about modelling as well. I'd love to shake off my insecurities and shyness and stand in front of a camera some day (together with a photographer I click with), and just pretend to be someone else for a day. That'd be cool.

LOL... I was six. watching The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins.. I loved that she got to fly with an umbrella and her magic bag with the full length mirror pulled out of it... not to mention getting dunked in the pond and taking a carriage ride, and wearing cool dresses and the songs!! Ofcourse I wanted to be Julie Andrews.... At some point every little girl did.... or maybe not... hmm... I also wanted to be Scarlett O'hara and Peter Pan...

OH, yes, I idolized Mr. Rogers and practiced the Neighbor song 27hrs a day...

(girls play peter pan because guys, hanging by strings, in green tights usually die of shame after one perfomance...that or have chafing...in any case, the turn over rate is high...)
