this may be the best 70-200L made so far. i can get one on my way to the gym today for $1300, and my slush fund is pretty fat right now.

i'm not sure i can resist much longer and isn't xmas right around the corner :D ?

that something else would be the dentist....i found out yesterday that more money and pain will be required soon but actually the news was better than i thought so today i am closer to making that stop at san jose camera and dropping some untaxed slush bucks :D .

I have the 100-400mm....at 400mm you need IS at 200mm you don't. And f/4 IS isn't going to get you night sports.

Ed, you know you want it. As one of the biggest advocates for the original 70-200 f4, how can you pass up those optics, same size, and 3-4 stops of IS ? If it wasn't for the fact that I'm lusting for the 100-400, I'd seriously be considering the upgrade myself. Buy it and give us the real world review.
