My lens is squeaking!! it happens on auto focus- it is most obvious when you engage autofocus with the lens cap on. Surely this isnt normal, but has anyone else experience this? or does anyone know whats wrong with it?
Many thanks A.

canonloader Cream of the Crop More info | Nov 03, 2006 17:52 | #4 Only a couple things it could be. The USM or dirt in the barrel. I use a silicone cloth on my lenses. It cleans them and lubricates the plastic. I once got a piece of sand in the barrel pieces and it ground to a halt and never worked again. Mitch- ____...^.^...____
