brilliant autumn colors and a statue... in stunning b&w!

i guess this still counts as urban since i was in downtown philly.

originally, i was intending for this to be in color because the bronze statue against the brilliant yellow leaves was really wonderful. unfortunately, it was somewhat overcast so the sky seen through the leaves was a lovely blown out white instead of a nice blue so i'm going to try shooting it again another day. in the meantime, i decided to go with b&w to make the most of it. still don't know if i'm completely thrilled though.

I really like the effect. It almost looks infrared!

It'd be cool to see the color version too, just so we can see both.

The leaves almost look like a painting. I think it works well in BW, the contrast between the leaves and the branches of the trees is eye-catching.
Looking forward to seeing the color version as well.
