I'm on page 5 out of an 8 page paper on what career we're planning on persuing. I'm also fresh out of ideas, so far i've written

2 pages on the history of photography
1.5 on what it would be like to work as a photographer
1.5 on the my potential to be a photographer.
1 more stuffed in there somewhere on the above topics.

Anyone have any other general ideas I can expand upon? I was thinking maybe adding a section about different photographic techniqes...

Equipment
Digital age, versus film
Demographics of American photographers
Famous photo's that changed the world (Vietnam picture of kid burned up with napalm, execution on the street of an alleged VietCong, raising of the flag on Mt. Suribachi sp?)
Why does one picture equal a thousand words, or does it?

The business of photography, including marketing techniques and the necessity of a good business plan.

Also, the evils of microstock. Luminous Landscape has a good article on this topic.

What about a little on what inspired you to be a photographer in the first place?

How about the impact that photographers have had/will have on relaying emotion, sense of place, moments in history etc?

Or on the dark side of photography. You can do a whole chapter on privacy rights and its abuses by the paparazzi. There are also other marginal activities especially in the adult industry such as upskirt sites and peeping tom sites.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

How about legal issues that a photographer must be aware of?

And, the importance that a photographer must be business minded or he or she could fail or struggle.

Lastly, about keeping up with technology.
