One of our local (Oceanside Ca) set up a little skate / photo session. It was fun, they sent out a mailer for anyone to show up.

Here's one I liked.........and actually the first large (13X19) print I have done on my epson 2400......I came out really nice.

Thats a great shot!! However the difference between great and brilliant (IMHO) is if I could just have seen his head or face.

No that was the first time I have really tried to shot skateboarding. I have taken a few shoots at the old park when I was down shooting the pier or beach.

I think i have to agree with snapzz about the head/face issue, but nice all the same. Was this taken using the 550ex? and if so, was it on camera?? (sorry i'm kinda nosey at times... :p )

It's hard to tell what he's doing(just popping an ollie or about to hit the rail), and, like everyone else already mentioned, his face! haha

Mk2n, 17-40L @17mm W/550 on the camera.

And I can see why you guys might like to see the face but keep in mind that tough when you shooting under & behind your subject. And a different angle would have brought out a busy backgound. Keep in mind this was in a parking lot with about 50 people standing around, 25 of those were photographers try to get their shots..........and not get ran over at the same time.

Here's what I had to work with-.....so you can see why I went with the under angle.

Wow, Donger was there? I wish I could have gone to that event in Oceanside, but I was in Las Vegas that weekend. Do you any other photos from this event that you could share?
