i hate using flash,, coz i dont know how best to use it! How do you control the flash so it wont make the hair to light...

This shot looks fine to me, what type of flash are you using? Speedlight? Or on camera?

You can turn your speedlight down to lessen the flash. There are also after market products you can buy to attach to the front to change and soften the light.

There's some really good info in the flash forum. Check the stickies out there and you should have enough learning material to keep you busy for a while!

Sam gives good advice.

Flash requires a different thought process, since you're producing your own light and you don't see the effect until you take the shot. There is a learning curve, but it's worth the effort.

You won't have any trouble with someone with dark hair showing up with too light of hair in a flash shot. Your concern is with their skin. You need to use your flash and experiment. Using Av and M modes and different iso and FEC. A diffuser with help a lot. If you have an external flash, an omnibounce diffusing is decent and just $20.

I think that's fine. Very warm.

The shot looks fine a bit warm but it's a good shot.
One simple way to lessen the effects of a flash is to just point it up and tape a white sheet of paper to the back side of the flash head which will bounce the light and it's cheap too. Oh and for on camera popup flashes try slipping a white post-it note in front of the flash to diffuse it , you'll have to get closer to the subject but there will be no glare.

I saw nothing wrong with this photograph at all when I first looked at it! The skin tones are sort of warm, but she's beautiful and the hair is by no means too light. I think it's a lovely shot, personally.
