Hi

Another couple of images from the beach close to where I live :-

#0: Pier Revealed At Low Tide

IMG NOTICE: [NOT AN IMAGE URL, NOT RENDERED INLINE]

This is a concrete pier that ends in the marker buoy for the entrance to Langstone harbour. Apologies that I couldn't get the horizon straight :-)

#1: Home In Time For Tea

IMG NOTICE: [NOT AN IMAGE URL, NOT RENDERED INLINE]

Someone is coming in from a sea trip in time for tea ... probably a liquid tea knowing some of those who work at sea.

Comments anyone ?

That's a very digital numbering system there, and what focal length were you using in #0 as the horizon is seriously bent? ;) The other thought that came to mind is if the pier is only available at low tide, then what use is it?

Yes I try to avoid numbering like that in "public", but I was a bit fuzzy last night (cold remedies not booze unfortunately). Too many years of keeping computers behaving properly showing through. Lens was a Zenitar 16mm fisheye.

Ah! Well, I'm not sure although as someone with slightly evil tendencies, it did occur to me that it would make a wicked practical joke on careless fishermen.

However it could just be that it was a convenient way of getting a fixed buoy into position during construction. Or perhaps it is a kind of defense for the sewage overflow that is about 50 metres inside the entrance ? In short, I don't know.
