Fireworks over Broadwood (Guy Folkes night!)

OK, so it's not actually Guy Fawkes night until tomorrow (unless your reading this on MOnday when it was last night !!) but here's my first attempts at shooting fireworks.

Great captures there and it seems like you had a good position too!!

The local council put on a big display at the stadium each year, so had watched from near where these were taken previously. Visited the site in daylight a couple of hours before to check exactly where they were positioning the launchers etc and then just turn up 20 minutes early.

Set the camera to bulb and just held the shutter release down (via a remote) for a couple of seconds or more depending on the bursts. Some of my other shots would have been better, but I miss framed them.

I have noticed that the blues and green don't tend to reproduce. Does anyone know how to rectify this (what White Balance to use, I just set to Auto)?

I usually use AWB for fireworks...the blues come out fairly realistic. The biggest problem with the blues is they lack the intensity of the other colors, so end up being under-saturated to begin with. Looks like you did quite well for a first attempt.
