(parked at home outside our house), so needless to say headed straight home to find out the damage, seems they've hit it on the side of the back bumper and knocked the rear wheel forward into the wheel arch then continued down the length of the car hitting the rear wing both doors and the front wing , it's a riright bl**dy mess

, the driver stopped (his car was badle damaged too), then drove off, but my wife got his registration number, informed the police they took the details and said I've got to report to the police station on Monday am with all my paperwork, said other than that they were busy !, knowing that my wife had said the car was damaged, I went for a walk to see if I could see the car, a couple of streets away there it was all safely locked up !, rang the police to tell them and all they said was ok !, god I'm annoyed, fed up, depressed and million an one other emotions, I know it's only a car and no-one was injured, but it was my pride and joy and to see it in the state it's in brakes my heart

I'm glad to hear that no one was injured and I hope that they get the guy who smashed your car. I had something similar happen to me. Turned out to be a stolen car. It was found later but the perpetrators were long gone.

sorry to hear that man, that's a pisser. It just blows me away at the things people do to other's stuff. I'm gonna guess that the driver of the other car was drunk. I hope they catch that bastard and make him pay.

sounds like an day for bumps, my daughter just got her 1st car last week, went out in it last night ...car pulled out in front of her..she swerved..hit another car..and the first car drove off seemingly oblivious to what had happened.(women in 4x4's should be banned). so thats her insurance higher next yr(as if it isnt to high already?) and only insured 3rd party ..looks like a trip to the scrapyard for parts thank god it was only a cheap car to start with and at least no one was hurt.

sorry to hear that philbyuk, at least she's ok and wasn't injured.

Latest update on my saga - one of the witnesses who say it happen knocked on our door this am and said she's just seen 3 guys messing with the car that did the damage, so off I raced to see if I could "have a word with them", right enough 3 guys are all messing with the car tring to move it from where it was dumped, one admitted to being the driver and said he thought something had snapped on the car thats why it had veered into mine, when I asked him why he'd driven off he just said he'd not realised the damage was so bad and the fact his car was not able to steer in a strait line didn't seem to bother him, strange thing was as I was speaking to him he smelled heavily of booze , still got all his details off him, offered me £600 to not get the insurance involved and nearly sh1t himself when I said my wife had called the police, his tax disc in the car said he was disabled, and he looked as fit as me , what a world, so will wait to see what happens next.
here's a couple of snaps of the damage, I'm no mechanic but the way the rear wheels displaced has me worried it's gonna be a right off
Alan.

what indeed, you read ridiculous accounts all the time of how police here fail to act on info from victims and witnesses - even failing to act on info that would stop a crime about to happen. They state how important the public are to preventing crime but act like they dont need your help thankyou very much.
