When I "save for web" in PS CS2 the colors are way off

I'm using Adobe 1998 in camera and work space. Converting to srgb then save for web, but the colors almost totally vanish... I had it tweeked in my old laptop but I can't seem to get this one right. Any ideas??

convert to 8bit srgb then adjust then save.

also a lot of people are finding that using my upcoming autosave script that the file save as creates higher quality files than save for the web.

Definitely have to convert from adobe rgb to srgb before saving for web.

Strm, sounds cool, but if it's "upcoming" how is anyone using it?? =)
I am converting to srgb iec61966..... whatever, is that the 8 bit you are referring to?

Its in beta testing with a handfull of beta testers using it.

select image then mode then 8bits/channel then convert to srgb
