Warranty for Used Lens

Hello

Has anyone bought USED lenses from B&H and sent it to Canon for calibration?

I bought a used 17-85 last March but was disappointed at the IQ and softness of the images I took with it. But I kept it thinking that I should sent it for calibration one day. Well that day is today..or tomorrow..whatever. Anyhoooo, So I went to the Canon site to see if the lens is still under warranty and whats the cost of repairs...pressed submit..then voila! got $0 to pay for repairs.

Here's the big Question...Is my USED lens still covered by the warranty?

Thanks for the quick reply. I went to that page where you type in the serial number and the date of purchase and it returned "Under Warranty" and "$0(plus applicable taxes)" for the estimated cost. But I'm not sure if this only applies to brand new purchases.
