Hey all,

I was going through some images that I took during a summer trip to Branson with the family, and wanted some feedback on the black and white conversion I did on this photo. This is my youngest son Jacob. He was observing some of the goings-on at this indoor waterpark we were at when I called his name and snapped his photo when he turned to look. I absolutely love his expression in this image and enjoyed seeing it in b/w.

C&C welcomed, thanks.

Couple of DSLRs, number of lenses and other stuff... plenty short on talent.

I like the photo, and I really like the contrast. :)

Fantastic B&W great contrast of darks and lights. If I was gonna consider any further editing it would only be to possibly crop some of the right side out, but it is great as it is, well done indeed.

Best Regards,
Logan

Thanks for the comments. The crop was the only thing I have experimented with in this photo. I have a tighter crop that I did a print of so I get get more of that cute face in the photo.... but I also like the wider shot to show the water dripping about in front of him.

A tighter crop could be interesting, but like you said, the interaction fo the water moving around is very cool. The conversion is wonderful, there are different flavors of black and white, this is one of the black is black ones. I really like this picture.
