Finally got to try out new camera and lens

My kids and I just got back from a Renaissance fair. Renaissance fairs offer a lot of great photographic opportunities. Something to consider if you’ve never been to one.

I took my new 5D and new 24-70mm and used them for the first time. I was happy with the way the camera recorded the colors and how sharp the lens is. I took a couple hundred images and these are not my favorites. They were among the first few.

The boy in the background and the cards are soft (DOF). Once I get used to the lens I’ll be better able to control the DOF.

Also, once I stop working so much overtime to buy more gear (due to Canon Fever), I’ll get around to figuring out how to link my image samples for better viewing.
