Not the greatest example of people photography, but it means a lot to me... My little girl just got her braces put on! Man, I feel old

Shot in the bathroom with no flash, bad white balance and hair in her face :)

Man, she looks a lot happier than I did when I first got my braces on :p

I really like the shot, who cares about the hair - it's a nice moment :)

OMG, Sam.....I can't believe she's old enough for braces!!!

However, I LOVE the shot... it shows the real moment where she's a little uncertain about showing them (the braces) off but complying with the camera.

Before we know it, you'll be posting her wearing her first formal.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

She is only 7 (8 in January) so it's a big deal. Only a couple of her friends have had braces so she is a celebrity in a way. "The older kids asked me about my braces today..." :)

I remember having braces envy when I was a kid. I am one of 9 children so only the kids with the most severe crooked teeth got braces.
I paid for my own when I was in my 30's and have never regretted wearing them.
Lexi is still pretty little so she'll have a whole lifetime of beautiful teeth!

Thats' how we sold her on them. When all her friends get them in Jr high and High school she'll be all done.

Well, Tivo is calling, I need to catch up on all my TV for the week ;) Talk to you later.

That's lovely Sam :)
My little man (OMG - he's nearly 12!) get's his braces on Wednesday.
I have awful teeth, and always vowed my kids wouldn't hate smiling like I do.

It's a fantastic moment in her life, and I'm sure she'll be thanking you later when she beams her pearly whites ;)

Great shot - definately one for her 21st :)

you guys are going to be so glad you did this for her when she's so young. I wore mine from 14 to 17 and it was terrible. By that age she won't hardly remember having them. My poor kids are destined to wear them too! bummer.

what a cute smile...you're in for so much trouble! heh.

Jason - I use Canon and stuff

She sure does have a beautiful smile Sam. I never got braces and now I'm regretting it:)

Cute picture, Sam

When my daughter was 9 she actually begged to get braces when my son got them first. She cried and tried to wear his retainer!

Now that she has them, she can't stand getting adjustments done.

Anyone remember those wires and headgears?

Great capture. You daughter DOES look really happy to have just gotten the braces on. I didn't get them until the 8th grade, and man-o-man did they hurt!

Great shot and remember to tell your daughter, "Keep your sweater on" haha (it's a quote from Adam Sandler's movie CLICK)

He still has one more move.
