Great shots, Suzie! You know, WalMart and others make copies of keys for cheap ;) No need to panic (though I don't know what's in your shed!) :)

When I borrowed the 30D from a friend the drive mode was set to H... I didn't realize this since the 350D doesn't have it. I kept taking shots but the shutter would snap off 2-3 pics. I did this a couple of times before noticing the odd icon for the drive mode and realized what was up. Super-duper-fast, for sure.

Just my personal opinion and I know others will disagree with me on this, but I think that for most 'typical' situations (not high-speed racing), you're more likely to get the shot you want by concentrating and purposefully releasing the shutter with individual presses, 2 or 3 times than with the 'spray-n-pray' method. Most pros I've seen/worked with never use the highspeed burst when shooting people. It does sound awfully cool though! :) I feel like I get more consistent results by keeping my eyes open and constantly focusing and snapping 2-3 deliberate images with moving people, than by simply holding down the burst. Maybe thats just me....

No, I actually agree, but I was just having fun. I snapped only about 3 shots per jump. It happens so fast. My brother is a pro and he takes studio shots of dancers for his classes and those are amazing and one with film and with 5 fps or more. I don't usually use burst for sports. I tend to watch the game and miss the good shot. :)

My children and grandchildren are the reason, but it's the passion that drives me to get the perfect image of everything.
