I paid a visit to Edinburgh Castle today, and here are some shots of Princes Street which is the main street in Edinburgh.

The gardens between Princes Street and me are Princes Gardens, and off to the right are the National Galleries and Waverly railway station. On the hill to the right are the folly, and Nelson's Column.

The next shot was taken from near Mons Meg (a big old canon). The more modern canon in the near foreground is fired every day at 1:00pm, and at the same time, a ball is dropped from Nelson's Column (see above). This historically allowed boats at sea to know what time it was.

This is looking at the west end of Princes Street over the west battlements and towards St Cuthberts church.

I see you have the same sky as I'm looking out at from Dalmeny

I fancy a wee trip to Edinburgh sometime next month for some night shots, I'll give you a shout for info on possible areas to shoot from if thats cool :)

The exposure, colours and retention of detail in all parts including the sky are very impressive. :D Did you use an ND grad?

Thanks Robert, if only we could get better weather too. Still the consolation was that a 09:30 this morning, the castle was very quiet. ;)

Not a very nice day today is it Scottie? As to your Edinburgh night visit, shout away. Indeed if you want the company, just say and I'll tag along. If you are leaving it to December, then you'll get the German market and christmas lights too.

I did indeed - 2-stops worth. Scottie was muttering about a night visit next month if he fancies the company would you be interested too?

I always take a trip to Edinburgh sometime just before Christmas to see the shops and the Christmas lights. If Scottie wants company and I can manage the date I would tag along too :) .

If you can put up with grumpy middle-aged geezers (that's me, not the others of course!) then I think we could put up with a cheeky young 'un like you, Leo!

Judging by your title I think you are the 'trouble making brat'!
