Just got it the other day and not had any good weather to give it a good try outside so I just went and give it a go today very cloudy and cold but could waite no longer:lol:,from the few shots taken I find the lens superb it is very sharp even at f2,focus speed is also lightning fast but not quite as fast as my 300f2.8 but not a lot in it.It makes my 70-200Lis seem slow:(Here is a few shots with 100% crops.

The canon 1.4 x Tele converter works a treat with this lens ;)
Focus speed is still very good with it
But far be it from me to coerce you into spending more money... :D

I've been looking at getting this fine lens and I've yet to see a soft image from one - some have been out of focus, or blurred due to camera shake, that's been down to user error :-)

It seems to have great contrast and colour rendition.

Some of those old boathouses look good future subjects :-)

Those 100% crops could pass for normal downsized images!

It seems not many people have this lens

Congrats, it's a great lens. An excellent portrait lens for sure and good for low light conditions since it's so sharp at f/2.0 .
