Headshot - first attempt at RAW

So, of course I have read over & over how RAW is far superior to shooting JPEG. I'm still a newbie...so, I decided to jump right in and shoot in RAW from now.
Here is a headshot attempt. It seems like the image lost a little something converting it to JPEG

For a headshot, the horizontal frame doesn't work here. In your setting vertical frame should be used. There are some instances where a horizontal frame can work for a headshot, but not on this one.

it may break the rules, but it works for me. a good artist breaks out of the norm

Looks fine to me. Only suggestion would be to put a little more space between subject and background do decrease the shadow a little more.

i appreciate all feedback that I can get. this was shot in a cramped space.with the only white space available...lol.... had to work with what I had. shot with 50mm f1.8
