Not too far from reality, sadly enough :p Those little cell phones are getting better and better cameras in 'em :) Give it another 5-10 years...

true, but where are dSLRs gonna be in 10 years? camera phones will be 8mp, but our canons will be 30

that's funny. but you know in 10 years time if a cellphone camera can do the same thing that a slr can then I would amazed. otherwise I still see me using a slr

I have my doubts. The watershed was the migration to digital, from here on it is incremental improvements.

I doubt the cell phone camera will ever get 45-point AF, true AI Servo, 600mm (even equivalent) telephotos, and many other SLR features, simply because the target market never needs it.

You should see what the primary target market of the cellphone camera does.. I am absolutely appalled by the horrifyingly bad photography I see on the blogs....

No amount of camera will ever help those ;)
