Good one, Toney. You can almost feel that cold water, and smell the trees.

Hi Toney.
Looked at your post a few hours ago and it didn't do a lot for me.
However, just returned for a second look .. pushed my chair away from the screen and a whole new perspective popped up. I can see that you have captured the power and strength of this river and there is a great depth to the shot. Pushing back from the monitor is a must, I can see the shot more as whole and not just a series of bits.
There is a lesson to be learned here at least for me.
Glad I had a second look.
Paul

Thanks a lot guys _ Paul I've often experienced that same thing looking at various images, kinda weird but affective. Thanks for bringing it up.

That's a great shot Toney. I love how you've managed the water in this one. Very dynamic and the colors are wonderful.

Agreed. Definitely a situation to choose a fast shutter speed. Gives the shot the punch it has! :D

Yep it shows it as a torrent giving you the sense of water raging down the river and not just flowing.

Another nice downflow i`m viewing this week.
The angry water`s white stuff are not a bit overblown, although the DR is extremely high.
Good work Toney.

Nice Toney, and as others have mentioned, the white/blues of the water makes it look like it will be icy cold.

1/10 sec is fast (for water)! ;)

But I didn't notice that it was handheld - thank goodness for IS! ....... and skill, of course! ;)
