I love my Sigma 17-70mm and it's pretty wide but I am really craving the Sigma 10-20mm for UWA. I'll get one soon.

Dusty, that's a great shot. I like the lights from the airplane and the foreground trees.

How long was the exposure?

Thank you glad you liked it.
Exposure was 275 seconds.

Man I should know buy now to stay out of threads like these, they make me want to ditch my beloved 17-40 for an UWA.

Or even worse... Make you want to buy a FF camera to make your 17-40 a UWA!

30mm fisheye on medium-format film (this would be like a 15mm fisheye on a 5D):

You've got a much darker sky than I have here, to get a milky way shot like that. I love it.

I like this shot... If you tweak the perspective just a tad in PS, I think that you could get those buildings on the left straight as well. That would add a lot to the image. Nice shot!

For a 4.5 minute shot why arent there star trails?

No trails because there are no stars... What looks like stars is really just the noise from having a LONG exposure at ISO 800 w/ the 300D. What's really cool is how nicely the "hot pixels" are arranged.

I am just kidding of course. I would love to get a shot like that, and I was also wondering about the trails.
