hi, it was taken at Chatham dockyards in the UK, they had a 1940's day. this is the pick up shot.

Yep.. every year. They do it once at the beginning and once at the end of quite a grand half-hour long fireworks display. Scares away the space aliens. ;)

love the pics!!!! It looks like to get everything in focus I will need to utilize a tripod more times than not with this lens. Most of you guys are really talented!

Eh, I've never used a tripod with my 10-20mm and it still takes great pictures. I wouldn't say its necessary for good pictures. Never hurts though.
