Thanks, Rob. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the verticals were handled, I was expecting far more convergance. Maybe the lens distortion complimented the arches here..

Hi Pete,
Nice shot. I think the verticals are so nearly vertical because the camera is not tilted upwards very much. You're more or less looking straight down the station.

Mark.

You're right. I had the camera resting on a bridge, so it was more or less dead level at the time. Not had much experience with this one yet, so still learning about it.

Not too bad considering the amount of compression I had to do and the darkness of the origional picture.. It was taken at 12mm with a 12-24 tokina

Here's my offerings, I seem to end up posting this everywhere because it always fits in to some category people are talking about! :D Anyway, here it is... again!

A lot of great shots here. It has me thinking, maybe I should get an Ultra Wide Angle lens instead of just a wide angle

For the money and angle of view this lens looks like the one to have. From what I've seen I am very impressed and I know I'll be working at the short end of the lens most or all of the time. To me it's like getting a 10mm prime. It probably won't move from there much. I can't wait.
