What do you all think? First time with the new home studio! Kids are soooo hard to get to cooperate!

I like 'em. I just did a few myself with the home studio.

I actually made my daughter go put on a shirt that was not white......good captures.

The lighting looks good to me, and the pose is wonderful! I would frame that.

Looks like it would have been a fun shoot.. cooperative littlies or not:d. Great shot of them.. maybe you can just bring out the edges of your daughters white shirt a little so it doesnt dissapear into the background.. i have heard white on white is the hardest of all to shoot..

Learn from your 1st session like this. It looks like they had fun, which is important.

What I see to improve: Their pants are out of key. When doing hi-key, the clothing should be hi-key. The lighting is flat & there is no direction to the light. In my studio, I go for at least a 3;1 ratio. I also take off the softbox, when doing hi-key, and put on either a parabolic or a grid-spot to control the light. You must also have your key light at least at a 45º angle. Since you used flat lighting, that is why you don't have separation from the kids to the background.

I'd like to see some examples of your hi-key shots.
