This road runs along the Cape Breton National park and has to be one of the most scenic drive in Canada. There are enough turns on this road to give any driving enthusiasts a grin from ear to ear. Just be careful of trailors, cyclists, mooses and the 300 meter cliffs. If you pay attention along the way, you may discover some real gems in the park.

Hi Fedex,

Cape Breton is my favourite part of Nova Scotia. My wife and I go there for a few days every fall. We also did some camping there this past summer.

Coincidentally, I posted a picture from the Lone Shieling trail on here just yesterday if you're interested.

Hey Lyall,

I would love to make it to Nova Scotia once every year; unfortunately, I'm about 3 days drive from it. I did see your post of the Lone Shieling trail...That is an amazing shot. Actually, it was the reason I post the above pictures ;) I can only imagine what the rest of the park looks like in the Fall. If you have a link to your Nova Scotia Fall gallery, please post.

Johnohio,
Thanks. You won be dissappointed in Cape Breton. Where else will you encounter wild moose and pod of whales all within a 20 minutes hike? Not to mention fresh lobsters and blood pudding pie.....
