heck yeah!! I want her to miss out on necking at Rim Rd. or dating those fast handed highschool boys with the smooth lines.... what kind of auntie would I be if I didn't.....  .. and your right allthough right now she wants to be a vet.. (but, only the kind that doesn't put any animals to sleep).. I don't know what she will be and as long as she's happy I don't much mind..

But think of the good side! They tell me that HS romances are the ones that last forever (in which case I am soooooo doomed, those days sucked on ALL fronts)

That's ok, photography can be the interest, not the day job.. the day job tends to become 'just the job' after a while. Same as happened to me; I sacrificed two of my interests to the career so now I am NOT going to commercialize my photography. Hey, two outta three is enough for work already

highschool romances... some work some don't. I think the success rate is the same as any other kind of romance.. and I don't want Abby to be a photographer as a career.. right now she wants to be a Vet and train rodeo horses.. so, that's exactly what I want her to be.. and, in six months when she decides she wants to join the circus or be a firewoman.. then that's fine too... as cliche' as it sounds I want all of my nieces to be exactly what they want...

Well, I can tell you that at 52, I don't feel all that different. :) I may *look* a little different... but I consider the grey hairs and wrinkles well earned. :D
