This is uncropped out of camera compo image passed quickly through ps for web. Wish I had a full frame 5D but moon is too big for my sensor, and the to be chased especially hight in the sky when my wife is considering her husband has literary become a lunatic on midnight of Monday.:)

These are great. Nice and sharp and perfectly exposed. I am going to try some of your settings. I don't think I will have the smog problem like you, but it did add some nice color.

thank you, I usually do alot of trial and error. Its ok to try different things, film is free :D

This one was taken through a telescope using a 300D and a suitable T-Mount.
1/30 sec at 100 ISO.
It's fascinating how easy it is to use a DSLR these days to get into astrophotography, even using a camera lens. It's a slippery slid though and very addictive.

Took some last night - 100-300 at full with stacked 1.4x and 2x TCs. I reckon that's 840 true focal and 1344 equivalent ;)
