Is this its real name ' Jewish Cinegod '?

Hmm I tried to look it up and I got some results for Cinegog. Maybe I just misspelled it but I'm not sure. Since I don't know the correct term, I edited my post to Jewish church. Thanks for pointing that out..

It sure looks to be a big synagogue ;), if a bit strange being almost white like that. Is it actually that colour, or is it just sandstone that looks a bit strange due to the night lighting?

I'm not too sure John, but in the sunlight it's almost white in color..

I love the contrast of stark white building with the dark sky. Add to this mix the geometrical shapes of the building it's a wonderful composition and a stark one.

That's amazing. It looks like a cardboard miniature made for a movie.

I had no idea synagogues could look like churches so much.

You sure that's not the Mormon Temple? I believe there is a REAL BIG mormon temple somewhere on I-5 or one of the Interstates down in San Diego.

You're right... I typed "mormon temple san diego" in Google images and that church came up :)

Either way, I think it is a good shot. I didn't want to get too caught up in a discussion about what it is before I let the poster know I appreciated the shot. :)

Good shot! I shot some pics of that place when I lived in LA about 12 years ago. I took shots of it with the sunset providing the lighting, try get some of those you will like them.

Thanks, yes it really stands out even from the Freeway. It's really hard not to rubber-neck as you go by.

I bet they could make a movie for the cost of electricity :D

Ok thanks for the info. I got it now  . Post is edited to reflect La Jolla Mormon Temple. I am a little shocked that I had the name of the place wrong because I got it from a very reliable source.

Thanks alot, I did go through some trouble to get this as I recall having my tripod setup on the exit ramp of the Freeway. There was just so many trees around it from ground level :D

Yes; it is the Mormon Temple.

Before it was officially opened; non-Mormons could get a tour of the inside.
Amazing and breathtaking come to mind.

Note the statue on the left spire. It's grounded with the biggest cables I have ever seen in order to protect the whole structure from Lightning strikes.

I've always wondered where I could shoot this unobstructed as it sits next to the freeway with a Shopping center on the other side of the freeway. Looks like someone from another country (No offense Rumrunner) has found a spot with better views than what I have found so far.

Nice shot!

AND you caught it on a night without the La Jolla fog killing the whole picture!
