Thanks thats what I was think, the lens belongs to a Co-worker and he said he doesnt use it @ all. So I was talking about I wanted the 2.8 Non-IS version he offered me his. and ask me to name a price.
He's a good guy so Im trying to no low ball him so thats why I asked on here.

is the lens still under warranty? you can get a new one for 1600, unless you're on a really tight budget i'd buy new. I don't buy used lenses unless i'm saving atleast 20% over new. Since it's local and you can check it out and such, I'd be willing to give him 1400 cash as long as it still has some warranty.
