Information is placed inside documents and files that can be used to protect your work or to violate your privacy.
Often it is in the usefull form of metadata or exlf data that we can easily use for our own bennifit. Although it can contain personal data it is hardly considered an abuse of privicy.
Other times the personal data is encrypted and hidden so that only the persons with the decoder or who know where to look can access the data. Usually this does not include the creator of the document, file, or print. In this case the chances of abuse are greater since the owner of the document has no knowledge of what or how much personal data is being given out and has no way of controlling or correcting it.
