Went away for the weekend to escape the Fireworks (Our Puppy isn't fond of them) and ended up near here, this is a tribute to the miners and collieries of Nottinghamshire.

The daylight really brought out the detail in the statue

The light on the statue is very nice, and is it quite tall? The background fencing certainly hints at it.

I'd say it was about 8 feet tall, looks bigger with the perspective the 10mm gives it.

Thanks for looking and as for the light it's me and my midday shooting again :) Luckily at this time of year it's low in the sky.
