This weekend me and my wife where visiting Rome, Italy. A beautiful city.

We went over to the "Fontana di Trevi" where I spotted this guy.

He had a Sony camera with flash, an Espon printer and a large battery pack. He was offering pictures taken and printed within 3 minutes for 3 euros. I think he would print in 5x7. I didn't see anyone take his offering, but he surly looked funny with his big printer around his neck ;)

Looks like a hell of an idea to me. Tourists buy all sorts of crazy things.

I remember many years ago, maybe 30, when you went up the main steps to the acropolis in Athens, there would be a number of young people with Rollei twin-lens cameras, snapping you as you came up. They would then run down to a shack, unload and reload their film, and when you came back out your b&w photo was posted on a board for you to buy. They would have plenty of time because there's only one way in and out and people tended to take an hour or more on site. They were probably developed and printed within 15-20 minutes. I'm sure there was no machinery involved. That's real photo express.
