Fabulous - you're a star. :)

There are SO many images there - I am sure I can find some inspirational ones. I'd still like to see POTN member photos too. ;)

Athena - was there early last month, and had terrible weather :(

Lovely place tho, all of the Thai places I visited were fantastic. I'll try and find some of the photos when I get home (still haven't PP'd many of them.)

Just realised - this is the place I have no photos of - memory cards were full, and I didn't have any cd's left to write them to. Add to that the fact that I had no adaptor at the hotel we were standing at to actually charge my camera battery, and didn't realise it was basically empty until the night before. I was gutted, because the next day, while we were walking through them, I realised that the temples in Ayutthaya were probably the most photogenic of all the temples we wound up visiting in Thailand.

Excellent - looking forward to seeing what you got. Where all did you visit?

Chiang Mai is lovely. Seemingly endless Wats to visit, good food, friendly people, fun markets, and a good number of eco-tourist activities.

It's quite a ways north of Ayutthaya though. ;)

Sounds great! I'm just trying to find a flight that doesn't take 30 hours from Hawaii. I can't wait to take photos :)

Chiang Mai is great. Be sure to visit the elephant sanctuary and watch their talents. I liked CM especially because it wasn't as hot and muggy as Bangkok, which is quite warm even in February.

Chiang Mai is beautiful, as everyone has said. Really, I could rave about Thailand all day, but the truth is that I took rubbish photos, and had bad weather. It was warm and the people were very friendly.

In Ayutthaya you should visit the place with the buddha head in the bunyan tree, can't remember the name offhand :(
