Hey, does anyone know how to read the actual amount of shutter actuation on their 1Ds MKII camera? I was told there is a special way to read how many actuations are on the camera. Does anyone know how to figure out the actuation count?

Thanks

I don't know about that software but (Exif Reader) was free and it works on a 1Ds. On the 1Ds you have to look for the following line:
Unknown (0093)3,9 : 18,0,29662,0,0,0,65535,65535,0

The 29662 was my shutter count a year ago and now it's around 34K.

Here is the download link:

I would like to see if it works on a 1d Mark II as I might be in the market for a good used one.
