Redcar Beach, in the North East of England. They filmed the start of Blade Runner here.

Thank you :) I'd never been there before (despite having spent all of my 31 years living within 50 miles of it), and the ugly clash between nature and industry was just begging to be photographed. The man and his dog finished it off beautifully, I thought :)

You're right about it being a ruined beach, but as a photo, compositionally it is very nice, and the man and dog make a great finishing touch.

I really like this shot.... as you say the contrast between the messy industrial building and the beach was just screaming to be photographed... and as john said the man and dog is just the icing on the cake

i think your choice to convert to black and white also helps add to the feel of the shot...
