hi all,

we have a discussion underway on (external link) about creating a club calendar. at the moment there are some very pessimistic points of view.

the first thing we have to find out is how much with the calendar cost to produce. the photographs and design will be done in house so there will be very little or no cost involved there, but the printing and binding will have to be done professionally.

so, can anyone point me in the right direction to a good calendar or print company that could assist?

I did a calender once. I had the prints photocopied on a colour copier. It was reasonably good. Costwise I think running small print-run calenders off on an inkjet would be cheaper. I have Ulead Photo Editor which comes with a built-in calender generator. All I need do is put photos and choose the style and out come 12 perfect months.

Interesting thread, especially to what are they like for UK users?

My main interest at the moment is greetings cards. I have looked into photobox and colormailer (Swiss based company) but what I am hoping to find is a 'supplier' that will print copyright/links/contacts etc on the back of the card ~ like the retail ones you get in the stores. I am sure there are places that will do this for very large orders in excess of 1000 cards but what I need to start with is a few 10's off at most of each image varient i.e. no more than say 100 cards in the first order(s).

TIA :)

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

The only thing I can contribute to yout calendar project:

“Thirty days hath September,
April, June and November;
February has twenty-eight alone,
All the rest have thirty-one;
Excepting leap year: that’s the time
When February’s days are twenty-nine.”

Let us know who you used and how it turned out! I may be interested in doing one in the next year or two.
