I had a great time photographing the game but had to leave at halftime to catch a flight to Korea. Boy do I wish I could have seen the ending.

Take a look and let me know what you think.

Those were shot with the Sigma and the 1.4x? They look pretty good. You didn't have any pics from the Cowboys Cheerleaders :)

Thanks Rock and yes from the Sigma and 1.4. I had to use a 10D at the game since the MKII is at the hospital being worked on. Let's just say the focus on the 10D was not even close and I missed a lot of shots. I wish the paper I work for had it's own equipment. I could have rented some gear but having to leave so fast to get to the airport this was not an option.

This was an away game for the Cowboys so the cheerleaders do not travel.

Those are just some great shots.....I enjoyed looking through them. I am assuming that you are a pro and had a sideline pass (or other credentials) to get shots such as these?

Jared...thanks for taking a look and I do get credentials through the paper I shoot for.

What part of Idaho do you live in? I lived in Mountain Home for 3 years.

Dave, when are you going to help me get credentials for shooting with you? I'm ready to go and have ordered my 5D just for the portrait shots. I can bring my 70-200 f4 and with the 1.4 extender on my 20D, I can really go to town. :) If you look at my gear, at the end, you'll see.

It's called the Metropolitan Tribune...when I get a chance I'm going to crop a few of them and this is one.

I was missing my MKII and the 400mm lens was rented so had to go with the 70-200 and 1.4TC. Better than having nothing and missing the game.

Suzie...I will be shooting a lot of high school stuff soon and you can tag along if you like and get some experience shooting sports. Then we can go from there.

Dave,

Just excellent spot on and very entertaining shots! Please, if you ever need an assistant let me know...oh, and you didn't miss much leaving early for that flight, I'm a Cowboys fan, and I was pretty dissapointed.

Linda....thanks and I will keep you in mind. I was told that lots of folks started leaving once the Cowboys got into field goal range with a few seconds to go.....boy did they miss out!!!

Sounds great. I will be around. I was going to help shoot the last Hylton game, but had a commitment. I know the state championships are coming up. I wanted to shoot the one last year at Hylton, but my two sons wanted to watch it and my husband was out of town. I think I could have gotten in, my son went there. Just give me a PM with the schedule. :)

I sat with the two little boys freezing in the stands, but it was a good game.
