Need help with Pageant

I am shooting at a pageant in 2 weeks. The first shoot is just model shots for their sponsors. And then the pageant is later.

My question is what do you suggest for the model shots & pose. Should they only be head shots or should we do full body pose? Also what should I use for background? Should I stay with simple white or black or should I bring other colors?

Does anyone have any sites with something like these posted I could look at the poses?

Wow. Looks like a good bunch of stuff there.
What model do you think someone starting out would need? would the 55lbs one be enough?

Would you suggest white paper or white muslin to do nice washed out backgrounds?

Does anyone have suggestions on the type of pose? Any examples?
