sweet, I like the first one, much warmer...I generally tend to keep the white balance on the cloudy setting...I wonder if thats a no no, but Ive been told the other white balances are pale....the second one seems alot sharper...but I think I just needed to use some fill flash... _______________

Yeah, I use fill-flash 80% of the time during the daytime... Unless, the subject is beyond the range. If you shoot in RAW it EASY to fix WB issues. To pull out the colors more and make it pop... I mainly used manual levels in PhotoShop. I duplicate the image first. Create a mask. On the top layer I adjust the levels for the background, and on the bottom layer for her. Then blend them using the masks by painting black or white at 30% opacity and flow. Ryan McGill

I should start doing portraits. #2 and #3 have blown highlights. A fill flash was needed in #2 - I can tell no flash was used. And #3 needed either a fast enough shutter speed to tone down the blown highlights in the background or move your shot so you don't have bright points in your background taking away from your subject. 5D, Drebel, EOS-3, K1000
