Last lens for a while...

I think I just completed my collection for a while. Now it is time to learn how to utilize each of these lenses. I ordered the 85 1.8. I needed some speed to go along with my zooms. I was thinking about the 50 1.4, 35 2.0 and 100 2.0 but I just kept seeing gorgeous pictures from the 85. The other lenses were hit and miss. It could be due to the popularuty of the 85....in any case, I am looking forward to shooting with it.

Looks like you've got a good coverage. Now remember when that good deal on a 100-400L comes along that you are done for awhile. LOL

Seriously-- I had a "complete kit" with the 50, 17-40, and 135/2.8. Then I needed a 70-200, and then I had a complete kit. Now I need an 85 or 135, in order to "complete" my kit. After that, I'll need a 300 or 400 in order to do that... so you see, you're never done.

I know I am done because I won't spend any more money on this "hobby". I might sell a lens and buy another but I am done spending money (until a new body keeps haunting my dreams heh heh)

I consider myself "conservative with a dollar." My wife says I'm cheap. My "friends" say I squeak when I walk and when I open my wallet, moths fly out. I know that's wrong. I don't carry a wallet. But I've spent a considerable amount of USD on this endeavor since I decided to pursue it several months ago. I'll be waiting for your next "Guess what the brown truck delivered" post.

I've used the Kenko with the 70-300 exclusively for daytime wildlife shots.

how does it work for you? Any sample shots? How is the noise? Softness?

Noise appears to be increased in lower light, under-exposed shots compared to similar conditions w/o Kenko. In "medium" daylight (morning or late afternoon with some sun), I have no problem auto focusing with the teleconverter on. Once I lose the light, forget about it. One of the few I have immediately at hand for uploading, I took on an early morning walk in July.

Exposed as a JPEG, ISO 1600, TV 1/200, f/22
