I like it. The composition is actually quite nice. Maybe the power station is a wee bit to central, but its a minor point. It does seem the foreground is a touch OOF though, what aperature did you use for the shot?

Thanks Adrian, I took it a few weeks ago with an old canon point and shoot, so not a clue what aperature I used. Its just down the road, so I go there most mornings with the 20D to try capture again. So far I haven't managed though. Ill post it when I do though.

I agree with Adrian's two points about foreground sharpness and central placing of the buildings, but these are very insignificant bits of C&C as the photo has many lovely elements such as the foreground ripples, the reflections, the warm cast of the setting sun etc.

Ill be looking forward to it :). I imagine the aperture was really quite wide with a point and shoot to get the light, so would explain the narrower depth of field. Im sure with the 20D you'll get a top shot again though. Best of luck.

So Marc, are you dyslexic with your signature, i.e. it should read "I want stuff", or do you have it all and your "Stuff I want" list has been completed?

Its a great picture, especially with a P&S. I don't like the power station though it would work better for me with it out of frame, it conflicts with the curves of the ripples in the sand, the soft clouds and the curve of the landscape.
