I had a shootout with a detective today! :)

This gentleman needed a couple pictures for a campaign he is doing. He wanted just some basic headshots and we decided to mess around a little.

C & C Please...

WOW, i would actually be scarred of the guy, until i saw him smile! He has a really serious "detective" face in the first, but then pic 3 comes and completely changes the mood!

Great shots, and nice going with "messing" around! ( i find those proove to be the best photos)

He still has one more move.

Those are great! I bet he likes them. He has a great smile and it really softens his face up.

These are well-done, but in the first shot his pose is creating some weird creases in his trousers between the fly and the handcuffs.

what lens did you use to shoot these? Did you also use a flash?

Your lighting and sharpness is very good. great work.

Nice shots!

My favs are #2 and #3, both look like they could be used on poster, or campaign brochure, in fact if I were his marketing person I'd use both to show the both sides of him. #2 really works, because he's not frowing or smiling, he has a very solid look -- like those "Law and Order" lads, #3 shows he's multidimensional, and isn't just a "detective" -- well in my opinion.

I don't really care for #4, because it looks like a magazine shot, rather than something I'd be expecting from what he's trying to do, and or perhaps convey.

All in all, very good captures, nice and sharp on my pc!

I am in awe here. A man posing and looking like he's enjoying the process. My hat's off to you. Great job. I like them all. But if you could do a little PS, you can take 4 inches off his sides and that would really freak him out. :)

Besides the comments about the pants in picture one... #2 would have been the best one for a portrait shot except he's not looking at the camera. He's looking to his right just a tad. #3 would have been a great relaxed shot showing his human side, but you have the blown out sky and buildings behind his head. If you use that one, I'd crop it just below his handcuffs (or just abouve the badge and handcuffs) to get rid of the pants again.

#4 is almost there, but his expression is a little off. He was probably trying to look serious and it isn't too bad other wise. You can see his badge and gun and his pants are hanging straight in this one.

#5 isn't bad either expect you have the blown out sky and buildings above his head. But he does have the detective look in this one.

Thats for your time, it must have taken a minute to write this.

For some reason I had a lot of trouble with the sky. BUT, I dont think it is blown out. ON my histogram nothing is off the scale, I just think it is a put white boring sky, is that possible?
