This is one of my little pals that showed up for my birthday party in Dominical last year....will be seeing her in two weeks if all goes well ! She is a real sweetie! You have never had a birthday party 'til you have swung at a pinata hanging from a mango tree on the mountain side looking over the pacific...with the warmest friends in the world...!

Her features are quite beautiful. Her eyes (catch-lights) stand out. Did you do any PP? I know there is a challenge when shooting people with dark complexions. She seems to have two tones to her skin (face, shoulder and chest), unless it's just the lighting (my guess).

Sounds like a great place to visit.

No real heavy PP done except bluring some of the back ground...I think the difference in colors/skintones you are are the reflected light from the large blue ball that was to the left of the photo...There is strong sunlight there and reflective light is always with you or against you..Thanks for the comments..

Thanks Mcdoc and Dante....Madam M, yes, leaving the 18th and I'm already dreaming in Spanish... I was processing some photos from last year to take to my friends down there and ran across a few that had hidden themselves in my hard drive.... And lucky me?...it's an easy trip and not expensive..it's just a matter of saying "I'm going"...look around at the wide eyed stares you get from the family, turn away fron their incredulous looks and buy your ticket...all the time remembering that life is short and there are no promises that old age will be there as a time for travel and experience....Come on down Madam M..I'll have a place for you to stay ( and bring that Skip guy with you if you must!;) )

I do have pics of the location and will try and post them tonight if time allows , as my daughter and her young daughters are coming to visit.. and I will be a climbing toy for at least a few hours! (I do happen to have one photo here at work that is a few miles away from the ocean, but it is shot from my property looking down the road ...(my land is in the mountains where the tempature is 10 or 15 degrees cooler than on the coast...)

Art, the people are so natural and joyous there and the light is so good that all I do is set some Av and anywhere I point the camera there is an interesting face...I feel like a kid in a candy store when I am there...Thanks..
