filters

I hope this is in the right section, I am getting a polerizing filter as alot of the pics I take have water in them, do you use a uv filter( which I already have) before or after this, or not at all?

Just use the polariser, I don't like staking too much glass in front of the lens no matter how high quality it is. It could also cause more vignetting and flare.

PaulEY's got it. More filters equals more IQ degredation. Use them when you need them.

Just a suggestion. Especially if you plan to be puting on and taking off the polarizer often. Get one with brass rings (Heliopan or B+W) and not aluminum rings (Hoya, Tiffin, et) that seize to the lens.

Ansel Adams himself discouraged using UV filters for lens protection because of image degradation.

it is a Hoya filter I have coming (should of asked first) thanks for the help
