Today I could experiment a bit with my PS approach for the male models.
Thanks to Ralph because he needed new shots :D

I really like these shots. The only thing I'm not keen on is, the catchlights in the first two shots are really big, taking up most of the iris. Having said that, I aspire to taking such great shots!

What lighting did you use? One large softbox 45 degrees to your right?

One large octo Elinchrom.
One small softbox from the sideback.
One small softbox for hairlight.
And with the last one a beautydish.

Wow, well I have a lot to learn about studio lighting, but I do know I really like the balance of light!

Wow, I actually stopeed because I was amazed at what I saw (being the 1st image) and the quality of it. They are excellent, a big well done!

I like all about the images ... except the catch lights. Lighting control is not just about ratio, strength, and pattern. It's also about direction, placement & size of catch lights. Try adding barn doors to your softboxes or try a gobo to control the light hitting the eyes.

The last photo is the best, I'd just retouch a little bit the darkness on the left cheekbone, the rest it's fine. regards

Postprocessing in these cases are a little bit of my secret :D
But they involve contrast masks and some sharpening.
