Chris, a word of advice, do not use that excuse with the wife or the girlfriend, see the last time I used it with my wife, she just leaned over and pulled the plug on the computer while it was still running. Then when I told her I would have to now go and buy a new laptop to replace the computer she broke she did the monitor in too because I would not need it with the laptop. So the moral of the story is . . .

All kidding aside, enjoy it is a great lens. You will be surprised.

Haha, good story!

I've got something to combat that though; she's an art student.

She just picked up a MacBook this summer, and is always buying paints/brushes, pencils, charcol, turpenoid, sketch pads etc.

She's got her art, and I've got mine! ;)

She is, however, starting to harp on me about spending so much. I've bought some time though, because, she's getting a big present when she graduates in 2-3 years.

I told her, that, if she graduates, and graduates with good grades, like I know she can(she's already got her AA in Fine Arts and carried a 3.25 GPA), that I would take her to Ireland for a vacation.(We're both Irish, she's 100% pure blood, i'm just a half-breed  ).

All in All, we've got a good understanding.
