But just to let you know, I'm alive! Claire mentioned that a few had asked under what rock I've hid the last 6 months or so. Well, I've been busy and still am. I've been shooting a few weddings this summer season and writing a few articles for MacWorld (the Swedish issue) and now I'm working on a book translation of Scott Kelby's book "The Digital Photography Book". Won't have a day off until December 15th when I fly to Canada to celebrate Christmas and New Years with the in-laws. Finally, 3 week vacation!

So how have you guys been?

Petra!

Shame on you for being gone so long. I have to find other women to flirt with.
You missed the coronation when they crowned me King. We all had punch & cake.

Post a shot or two from your recent weddings. Your pictures are always great.

Curtis, I'm utterly disappointed at you. I thought I was your queen, in both sickness and health. *sobs*

Well, as you're the king, I better post a few images then, to see if I can please the king. As there's a post limit of 8, I have to try to keep it short and sweet.

Great shots! Looks like some pretty tough exposure challenges with the dynamic range in some of those shots. I especially like the first, and the very last two.

Oh, and welcome back! I remember you but you won't me, as I'm a relative unknown.

Couple of DSLRs, number of lenses and other stuff... plenty short on talent.

Petra, your eye and skill continue to impress me.
The starburst on the ring in #6 is a nice touch!

Thanks William. Yeah, I don't think I've had one day where the weather has been *perfect* it's either been a crazy sunny day, or rain. Although I was surprised as how good the images on the beach turned out, it's like the sand works as a built-in reflector as I didn't use a flash on that image.

Curtis, that's a brush I was given by a friend who'd made it... it's called Bling-Bling :D

Fitting title!

I think it shouldn't be too hard to make something like that. Take a shot of a small light source with black surroundings using a small aperture. Then add it as a layer.

Oh, and I want to request a title for you. How does "Queen of the Arctic Circle" sound?
